Over the last couple of years, GCCI has been providing financial support to children from cancer-affected families. When cancer affects a family the immediate sufferers are small children studying in schools. Their education is abruptly stopped for want of financial and other supports. Some of them become street-children and go astray in their life. To save such children being stopped from their education, GCCI has thought of an innovative program by providing them educational sponsorship up to 12th standard. The progress of study of such sponsored children are regularly evaluated and GCCI’s comments given to the parents/school concerned from time to time. This way the children are given high motivation to concentrate on their studies and make success in their studies and thereafter in their life. About 500 children are helped by GCCI every year throughout the country.

With a view to helping those patients who are diagnosed of or afflicted with cancer, GCCI gives limited financial assistance with a view to helping them meet immediate financial need for purchase of medicines, doing chemotherapy or obtaining other essential services. Hundreds of patients are helped every year by GCCI.
